Beginner’s Weaving Classes!

I’m so proud to announce that I’ve finally finished my pricing list for my weaving classes! I’m really grateful for Yarn Stories to help me give a wider audience this opportunity and would love for all of you to come and check it out!

Beginner’s Weaving Classes

–Beginner’s Weaving Classes with Jessi Munn–
Who:
Anyone who is interested in learning to weave! You will walk away from this class with a basic understanding of what it means to do a project on a rigid heddle loom, and the goal is to also have you finish a project so that you can take your handiwork home with you!When:
Wednesdays, I will be available at the yarn shop for demonstrations and classes from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and also by appointment.
Cost:
*Includes Loom Rental!*

Full Weaving Experience
3-4 Hours $70
Yarn Sold Seperately
You get the full experience into what it’s like to weave a project from start to finish.

Pre-Warped Experience
2-3 Hours $50
Non-Refundable Yarn Deposit
I’ve already got the loom warped for you before your class time starts (Hint: That’s the hard, not-so-fun part!), so you just show up and have fun working with the weft!

Warping Experience
1-2 Hours $30
Non-Refundable Yarn Deposit
You learn the art of warping the loom–this is the important step of getting ready to weave! The warp is the cornerstone of your woven project, and is necessary to cultivating a great finished project!

Beginning projects include: scarves, table runners, potholders/plant coasters, and drink coasters.

Introducing…Beginner’s Weaving Classes!!

Hello, hello! Sorry it’s been a while (I feel like I make such a silly excuse every single time!)…one of these days, I’ll make it so I don’t have to make that excuse! Promise. 🙂

So, this week, I set it in stone that I’m going to partner up with a local yarn shop here in Muncie called Yarn Stories to do beginner’s weaving classes! This is going to be such a great learning opportunity, folks–for you, AND for me! I’m so excited!

Ideas for what you guys could make during these beginner’s classes: short scarves, hot pads, planter coasters, or drink coasters.

We would be using my own rigid heddle loom and I would teach you basic terminology, and you would get to take your project home with you in just a few hours’ worth of work.

Imagine, people coming over to your house for the first time, and complementing that beautiful table runner with the unique colors and soft texture. Imagine the look on their faces when you say you made it yourself!
